One of the most iconic and definitive rock bands ever, AC/DC are still going strong with albums and tour dates. Creators of the highest selling album of all time by a band (Back in Black), AC/DC is widely considered one of the most talented rock bands ever. Their most recent album, Black Ice, went double platinum and was followed by a tour that thrilled over five million fans. While AC/DC has no new albums or tour dates in 2011, Angus Young has hinted that both of those projects are in the works and will be ready no later than the band's 40th Anniversary in 2013.
Brothers Malcolm and Angus Young formed AC/DC in 1973 and the band experienced a changing lineup until the release of T.N.T. in 1975. 1976's Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap has gone platinum six times and sparked AC/DC's first ever international tour dates, bringing them widespread fame. AC/DC's biggest hit, Back in Black, came in 1980 and received universal acclaim from nearly ever music critic on the planet. The monumentally successful album was followed by the release of For Those About to Rock We Salute You, which was also praised by critics and became their first #1 album in the US
Since that time, AC/DC has continued to release platinum albums and perform high energy tour dates, leading up to their most recent work on the Iron Man 2 Soundtrack and Black Ice. While fans might have to wait a while for AC/DC to outdo their Black Ice album and tour dates, they can be sure it will be worth the wait.
