With only two albums under her belt, the blue-eyed, British soul singer, Adele, has emerged as the UK's hottest export. Fans worldwide are clamoring to get in line for Adele concert dates currently underway in Europe. Her debut album 19, which corresponded to her age at the time of the album's release, quickly caught the attention of critics and fans alike. Her soulful single, "Chasing Pavements" quickly rose to the top of the pop charts in Britain which secured a top slotted entry for 19 on the UK albums chart upon release. Immediately a critics darling, the neo-soul singer was awarded with the Best New Artist award at the 51st Annual Grammy Awards in 2009. Topping off a banner year, Adele booked concert dates at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, replacing her idol Etta James after the elder soul songstress fell ill.
After the immense critical and commercial success of 19, which was certified 4x platinum in the UK, Adele was pressured to produce an equally formidable sophomore set. Eager to avoid the curse of many Grammy Best New Artists that preceded her, Adele jumped right into the studio to record 21 which details the heartache she felt after her last breakup. Adele teamed up with prolific producer Rick Rubin, songwriter Dan Wilson, and Ryan Tedder (OneRepublic), at Rubin's Malibu studio to craft the pop-soul collection. In conjunction with the album's February 2011 release date, Adele tour dates were announced, with the singer slated to appear at mid-sized North American venues throughout the Spring and Summer 2011. The album's soulful first single, "Rolling in the Deep" features a haunting hook and a throwback to the sixties that highlights both Adele's range and heartache. The single was immediately welcomed by radio outlets around the world and secured the album, 21, a #1 berth on both the US and UK Album charts. Selling a remarkable 352,000 albums upon release, the album logged the highest first week album sales for any artist in 2011 on Billboard's US Album survey. Following the immense success of 21, more Adele tour dates were added to support the album's release. Adele concert dates have the British star on the road throughout North America and Europe through Summer 2011.
The success of Adele and her latest release, 21, is just getting started as more singles and videos are released. Her second single "Someone Like You" has already hit #1 in the UK and is quickly rising to the top in the US and she is generating buzz for her third single "Set Fire to the Rain." Adele concert dates have already gone on sale for all venues, so act now in order to secure tickets to her show.
