Archive was formed by Darius Keeler and Danny Griffiths in 1994. They released their debut album, Londinium in 1996 and burst out huge on the trip hop scene. Their mix of electronica and breakbeats resonated well throughout the Euro club scene. Archive briefly broke up in 1997 but resumed recording shortly thereafter and expanded their presence on the continent.
Their 2006 album, Lights, received critical acclaim throughout France and Switzerland. The accompanying Lights Tour, was sold-out at nearly all shows and they were a draw at major European festivals in 2006/7. Most recently, they released Controlling Crowds I-III in 2009. The album reached #1 in France and they began touring on the Controlling Crowds Tour in 2010. Archive is currently in the studio working on their latest album due out in 2012. We will have to wait until their hotly anticipated album drops next year. In the meantime, stay on top of Archive tour dates using Eventful as your concert calendar.
