Aristoscat started in 2007 with the idea of merging the styles of old 1960s & 70s Exploitation films with various genres of music. Though originally only planning to release an EP, the band was encouraged by engineer Sterling Winfield (Pantera, King Diamond, Seventh Void, David Allen Coe) to create a full-length LP instead. The result, Aristoscat's debut album "Music To Vice To," is set to release in early- to mid-2011.
Aristoscat features musicians from different arenas of the Dallas music scene, with members' styles ranging anywhere from pop & swing to surf & Spanish rock. Aristoscat has been described as “...a Demon ready to break free,” “brilliantly clever and tongue-in-cheek sleazy,” and “crazy, an acquired taste, some kind of vision that hasn’t been quite figured out yet. And just when you think you do, here comes another curve ball.”
Aristoscat have worked hard to create something different and for everyone. The live shows are both eccentric and entertaining, with each Aristoscat member showcasing their own unique style and sound on stage.
