After 22 years of releasing hit albums, playing hugely attended tour dates, and wearing his signature black cowboy hat, Clint Black has no plans of stopping his illustrious career anytime soon. Although his music has been classified as swing-country, honky tonk, and even love songs, fans have enjoyed the unique style that Black brings to all his music. Though he hasn't released a full album in four years, Clint Black has a number of tour dates in 2011 that will surely hold fans over until his next release.
After struggling to play small bars for a few years, Clint Black's career began after meeting Hayden Nicholas, who would become Black's collaborative songwriter and bandleader. Black's 1989 debut album, Killin' Time, was an instant success, going platinum in just a year and reaching the top of the country charts. His follow-up album, Put Yourself in My Shoes experienced nearly the same success, and was followed by tour dates that satisfied audiences' wishes to see this newcomer live. 1995's One Emotion featured five hit, #1 singles, including "Untanglin' My Mind" which was co-written by Merle Haggard. Even Black's more recent albums, like 2004's Spend My Time have received favorable reviews and immediately shot to the top of the charts.
While fans patiently wait for Clint Black's next hit album, they can catch him on his remaining tour dates in 2011. Most of the concert schedule will remain in the eastern half of the US, but will also venture as far north as Alberta, Canada. With Clint Black's appearances growing fewer and fewer, don't miss the opportunity to attend one of his 2011 tour dates.
