Her effect on listeners can be best summed up by a reviewer from Music Load who witnessed her live performance – "Once in a while you come across a new artist who has not only amazing charisma, vocal abilities and raw talent, they have something more. They have "it." You see them perform live and you just stop and sit down with your jaw hitting the floor."
"Still The Unknown", Her first full-length album is out now. For over a year Gaby crafted songs to fit the vision she had for her debut release. She recorded the entire album at the home of her producer Jay Bellerose (renowned drummer/percussionist for Paula Cole, Joe Henry, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, among many others).
"We were able to capture an organic feel inspired by our favorite old records. It really was a perfect situation for me. I couldn’t have had it any better. We were all just hanging out having a good time playing music and it was all done in a matter of days" says Gaby.
Her band mates are Leslie Lowe (bass) and Sebastian Aymanns (drums/percussion) and together they recorded everything live with Gaby singing and playing guitar at the same time.
Gaby Moreno is one artist that proves an artist can both take pride in their roots and stretch beyond them to reach music audiences from all walks of life and parts of the world.
