      Bio

The band originated back in 90-something as a result of five guys' frustration with radio and their common love for everything Sabbath, Skynyrd, Sex Pistols, and Sub Pop. A few lineup changes and five independent releases later, Isabelle's Gift continue to wreak havoc on the American acceptance of watered down, cookie cutter bands with a live show that is never lacking in energy.

Chris Sutton- vocals, I started Isabelle's Gift in 1991, just months after graduating high school. It didn't take many auditions to discover: 1. All the guys wanting to be frontmen were jerks and, 2. That I couldn't play guitar nearly as well as anybody who was trying out for the band. what makes my band special: Careful how you use the word "Special". People are easily offended these days. Let's put it this way, if you're into 80's rock, we've opened for Cinderella, Warrant and Dangerous Toys. If you're into country, we've opened for David Allen Coe. If you're in to metal, we've opened for Gwar, Marilyn Manson, Godsmack and toured with Bran New Sin. If you're into punk, we've opened for Suicidal Tendencies and the Dwarves. Twice. If you're in to really cool underground music, we've opened for Scissorfight, Milligram, Local H, C.O.C, Love Battery, Throttlerod, Karma To Burn, Electric Six and the almighty Kyuss. If you just want some neat stories after the gig, we've also supported Ace Frehley, Vanilla Ice, Hootie and the Blowfish, Maxwell and toured our asses off with Bloodhound Gang. All doing our own songs. Seriously. What i'm into: Pino Noir, Faith No More, MMA, 90's vinyl, Intervention, Caligula, Vaporizers, Soundgarden, Trick Or Treat (both versions), Oz, Joss Whedon, Paul Mooney,Toys, Doug Stanhope, Video Games, Ink, Absinthe, The Decline Of The Western Civilization, Dogtown and Z Boys, Daniel Tosh, Freeing The West Memphis Three and Faster Pussycat.

Jason Carrion- Bassist/Taurus/Carnivore Puerto Rican/Italian/Southerner Birthday April 22 Reads like a Want Ad, doesn't it? I was bitten by the rock n roll bug when I got my first Elvis album from my grandparents for Christmas. When I was a kid, I wanted to be Gene Simmons... I mean, who didn't, right? My mom spent a lot of time puttin that makeup on for me so I could rock out in front of a mirror with my guitar, aka a broom. A few years later, after I discovered GNR and the Ramones, it was official. I knew I had to play rock n roll! In the 20+ years I've been playing bass, I'd have to say my biggest influences have been Duff McKagen, Rachel Bolan, Mike Inez, and Eric Avery.

Kyle Snell- guitar Born Dec. 4 I was influenced at a young age by cats like David Gilmore, Allan Collins, Nancy Wilson, Neal Schon, Randy Rhoads, and Ace Frehley. I left Columbia in the late 80s with my band Sovereign, and after spending time on the L.A. and Austin club scenes, I returned to South Carolina, where in July 2003 I joined Isabelle's Gift. It didn't take long to twine my pop influence with their already solid rock foundation to create a high energy but melodic sound. I’m a TV junkie and love sci-fi and action movies. And I’m a HUGE Gamecock & LA Lakers fan!

James Zimmerman- Guitar/Jason's roadie. I lived in the south long enough to call myself a southerner. Birthday April 19 Originally a bass player, until I got my first Les Paul, and I haven't looked back. Taught myself how to play to The Cult: Electric. I was a fan of Isabelle's Gift, opened for them, and somehow tricked them into thinking I was good enough to join the band, nine years ago.

Robbie Smith- drums. I've been playing drums since I was 10, got my first kit at 13 and I've played drums/percussion in many different settings since then. Before joining Isabelle's Gift I played in several cover bands. The first time I ever saw the Gift was when one of those cover bands opened for the 2006 Halloween show. After the first three songs I turned to my friend (hey Hoss!) and said, "If for any reason those guys need a drummer"....Roughly 6 months later I was in the band. They say I'm in the band because of the way I play, but I think it's because I'm so d*** cute. But enough about me...... Ok, more about me:

Turn Ons: Pink Floyd, cheerleaders, Matt Cameron, Dr. Beat, Children of Bodom, Vinnie Colaiuta, greenbacks, Virgil Donati, The Beatles, Skeletor, Chopin, Devin Townsend, K.I.T.T., Faith No More, tattoos, Ghostbusters, Suicide Girls, the 80's, Tower of Power, heels, eyeliner, misanthropy, being a diva, Eddie Izzard, pharmaceuticals, piercings, Fletch, Chuck Taylor's

Turn offs: Politics, books, lettuce, people, facespace, pop country, cookie monster vocals, my ears ringing... there's more to this list, but I'm sleepy.
