      Bio

Jason Aldean has emerged as one of country music most versatile writers and performers. Whether he is duetting with popstar Kelly Clarkson on "Don't You Wanna Stay," or rapping on his latest single, "Dirt Road Anthem," Aldean manages to bring a freshness to country music by incorporating other genres. He burst onto the scene with his rodeo romping single, "Hicktown," and has been performing to packed shows ever since. Jason Aldean tour dates are scheduled nationally this spring and summer, 2011.A Macon, Georgia native, Aldean was born into a musical family who fostered his early interest in performing country music. His father taught him how to play the guitar while his mother helped him book slots at local fairs and talent shows before he landed a house band gig in a local bar. He attributes weekends on his cousin's 200 acre farm as inspiring his rural themes and down-home feel. Aldean says he is not a "pro-backwoods, flag-wavin' kinda guy," preferring instead to incorporate other musical genres into his music. He cites his cousin's interest in Tupac Shakur and his personal favorites, The Oak Ridge Boys and Aerosmith, as influences and asserts that "the great ones figure it out and are constantly evolving, and that's what make 'em great."Aldean has spent more time at #1 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs than any other artist during the past couple of years, however, his journey to the top wasn't paved with gold, or platinum, so to speak. When Aldean moved to Nashville, he was the quintessential struggling country artist. The then 21-year-old moved to Nashville after signing a deal with Warner-Chappell, a song-publishing company, to be a music and lyric writer. He was quickly dropped, and signed to another label, but was subsequently dropped from that label as well. Aldean was ready to pack his bags and head home to his mother's. An eleventh hour performance for Nashville indie start-up label, Broken Bow, persuaded him to give Nashville one more shot and we are lucky that he did. In 2005, Aldean signed with Broken Bow and released his debut single, "Hicktown," a backroads party anthem that hit the top of the Billboard Hot Country songs. His self-titled debut, also featured the #1 single, "Why," and "Amarillo Sky." The album earned Aldean the Top New Vocalist Award at the 2006 Academy of Country Music Awards and has subsequently been certified platinum by the RIAA. He followed up with his sophomore set, "Relentless," which spawned the get-outta-town song, "Johnny Cash." Aldean released his third set, "Wide Open," which featured his runaway hit and biggest single, "Big Green Tractor." The album released in 2008 also featured country rock favorites, "She's Country," and "Crazy Town." Jason Alden tour dates were booked nationally including a performance with Bryan Adams on CMT Crossroads in May 2009. Performances from the Jason Aldean concert schedule also yielded the live DVD, "Wide Open Live & More." Aldean's most recent album, 2010's "My Kinda Party," features the jacked-up title track and his duet with Kelly Clarkson. The album truly highlights Aldean's versatility showcasing his guitar riffing and rapping abilities! In support of the album, Jason Aldean tour dates have been scheduled nationally. Jason Aldean's concert schedule has him slated to appear at nearly fifty shows throughout this spring and summer 2011. Don't miss out when the backwoods rocker comes to your area!
