As the youngest winner of American Idol at the age of 17, Jordin Sparks has parlayed her win into a hugely popular career as a singing sensation. Although Sparks has only released two albums, both her albums and tour dates have become hugely successful, earning her performances at the White House and even on Broadway. With a new album due out sometime this year, Jordin Sparks can currently be found supporting the new Back Street Boys / New Kids on the Block project, NKOTBSB, on their summer 2011 tour dates.
After winning American Idol and performing tour dates on the American Idols LIVE! Tour 2007, she released her self-titled debut album in 2007. The record quickly went platinum and was supported by the hit top 10 single, "No Air." The success of the album was followed by tour dates with Alicia Keys and Jesse McCartney, gaining further popularity. Jordin Sparks' 2009 album, Battlefield, shot even further up the charts than her previous record and the single "S.O.S. (Let the Music Play)" reached #1 on the US Hot Dance Club Songs chart. This was followed by her first ever headlining tour, as well as supporting performances for Britney Spears and The Jonas Brothers.
While Jordin Sparks works on her new album (which is rumored to feature assistance from John Legend), she can be found supporting NKOTBSB on their 2011 tour dates this summer. The concert schedule for the North American is already underway and ends on August 7, so be sure to reserve your tickets soon.
