Love and a .38 is not to be trusted. Raised on a steady diet of attitude and debauchery, this four piece hard rock band from Los Angeles has given sleaze-starved rock fans something to get excited about. Formed in 2009 among the dreamers and dropouts of the Sunset Strip and tempered at the wee hours in Downtown Los Angeles, Love and a .38 has crafted a sound that is both familiar yet fresh. Blending dirty, gritty, growling guitars with catchy, emotionally powered vocals, they have written songs that fans from across the rock spectrum can get behind. After playing their first show to a capacity crowd at the world famous Viper Room, their legend, along with their following, has grown exponentially, causing legendary The Roxy Theatre to name them one of their Top 20 Acts.
When Love and a .38 has a gig in Hollywood, the whole city knows about it. Their live shows have become the type of turned up, turned on, ear splitting, ass shaking spectacle that every kid in town has to tell their friends about, but wouldn’t dare tell their parents about. Their self-titled debut EP has gained them devoted fans on five different continents, been featured in film, radio and television, and landed them on Music Connection Magazine’s Hot 100 List.
Love and a .38 has released their first music video to their single 'Rock N Lola' which earned over 32,000 views in under 9 months. They have toured regionally and nationally to ever-increasing crowds, performed on both local and national television, and have played one of the most talked about sets of the 2011 Sunset Strip Music Festival. The band recently played a series of very talked about showcases at SXSW in Austin,Texas. They now begin recording their next album with acclaimed producer Ian McGregor; all the while maintaining their status as the pre-eminent destination for Rock and Roll excess in Southern California.
