With well-written, lyric-woven songs like "Foolish" and "The Songwriter Who Broke My Heart" and a voice as thick, rich, sweet, and potent as dark chocolate, Carmona not only makes you savor every note, every word, she reaches deep within your soul and rips out your heart.

When Marcela Carmona sings, she lets it bleed. Accompanied by her full-bodied piano work, her voice enchants like a feather drifting in the breeze yet soars with throaty soul. Described as the love child of Janis Joplin and Sarah McLachlan, she trained as a classical pianist for fourteen years before forming a band and becoming a song writer at age sixteen. A year later she went solo and hasn’t looked back since.
She has been performing for twelve years in her hometown, Los Angeles, and recently began touring aggressively throughout California and Nevada, appearing at venues in San Francisco, San Diego, and Las Vegas. She feels the most at home on stage and loves being in front of an audience.
Marcela gives voice to every side of the story through her soulful acoustic rock. Her songs are personal tales of human flaws and how those flaws enrich life’s experiences. Marcela sees songwriting and performing as the best way to connect with her neighbors, lovers, and even strangers. So, next time you're at a show, stop by and say hello.
