With more than 100+ years of professional experience between them, the members of Rio & the Rockabilly Revival serve up blistering rockabilly, circa 1950's. Their shows have been referred to as "the church of rock & roll," with reviewers and fans alike testifying to feeling the 'Rock & Roll Holy Ghost' in the room. With themes of sin and redemption running through their show, the closing number, "Save My Soul," is the fever pitched closer and brings the house down every time. Front woman, Rio Scafone, niece of Rockabilly legend, Jack Scott is beloved for her powerful voice and dynamic showmanship, Rio carries on the the family tradition of serving up a heaping dose of old school, spitfire Rockabilly!

"Watching the band play felt like an honor, like we should be thanking them. I was convinced that I was witnessing a legend being born, seeing next generation icons ... I can only assume that they guzzled down a case of energy drinks before taking the stage, they played for two hours without a break, their energy is unmatchable. For those two hours, I could swear I was in Las Vegas."

“You only have to see Scafone perform for a minute to know — she has that look in her eye, as if all she is doing is all that matters at that very moment. The live show exhilarates ... Scafone's on stage, twisting, gyrating and *owning* every inch like some sort of possessed, evangelical-satanic dervish. It's at once nostalgic performance art, killer show band and a rock 'n' roll wonder.”

“Rockabilly is back on the map! There are no words for the wicked, sinfully fun show that I experienced last night at the Rio and the Rockabilly Revival CD release party. Rio was ablaze, igniting the souls of the people who took it all in one song at a time ... Rio, you are an AMAZING performer in every aspect and are only headed for bigger things. Your star is on the rise my friend, keep it burning. Thank you so much for allowing Rock This Town to be a part of this incredible night." *This quote was posted by Ms Hands on Facebook

“I’ve always loved strong women, mid-century style, and Rock and Roll. That’s why I love Rio and the Rockabilly Revival. First of all they’re a perfectly “Detroit” band. By that I mean they have a style and energy you won’t find anywhere else. And I mean EN-ER-GY! The kind that devours the whole stage while she sings “Save My Soul” and you’re standing in the audience thinking, “Will I be devoured next?” and “Who cares?! Because if I’m going to be eaten alive I want it to be by this amazing temptress!” Yes, THAT is the experience of seeing them live!”

“... inside the city's U Detroit Cafe was a gritty, soulful voice - much like an amalgam of Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley and Janis Joplin. Except her name is Rio Scafone (of) Rio and the Rockabilly Revival ... Even in a red polka-dotted dress, looking like Bettie Page, Scafone was pure rock 'n' roll and out to say that no, this - the rockabilly genre - doesn't need to be a man's world ... Scafone was clearly born to sing rockabilly. After all, it runs in the family - her uncle, Jack Scott, is one of the genre's pioneers."

“Rio & the Rockabilly Revival, were on the Rock & Roll Lawyer Show on Friday. I knew they were going to b good, because of the musicianship of the group. I didn't know they were going to be outstanding. They blew the crew away. Rio started singing, the backup girls, Trish and Kim joined in, then the Revival started playing. It was magic. We have never heard a sound like that before on the show." *Follow the URL below for archive of RRR on the Rock N Roll Lawyer Show
