Swedish pop-star, Robyn, became a worldwide sensation as a teenager with her hit singles "Show Me Love," and "Do You Know What it Takes," in 1997. However, the young starlet soon realized the downside to fame; Robyn's concert schedule and international acclaim took a toll on the singer and she began to suffer from exhaustion, which prompted a return to her homeland of Sweden in order to recover.
Robyn's RCA debut, Robyn is Here (1997) propelled the teenager to pop-stardom with a series of international singles. After a brief hiatus, she returned to the studio and recorded her sophomore release, My Truth, in 1999. While it was a hit across Europe, the album was never released in the United States. Robyn continued to record hit albums that were successful on the Euro pop and dance charts throughout the 2000s. She returned to international acclaim in 2010 with the release of the Body Talk album series that featured dance and pop hits popular on the international club scene. Indeed, the albums were so successful that they garnered Robyn two Grammy nominations at the 2010 ceremony, and spawned the #1 single, "Dancing On My Own."
She is currently touring the United States in support of the Body Talk albums-- the Robyn concert schedule (2011) sees her performing over thirty dates throughout the country.
