Since forming in 2010 Scott Driscoll & The Heartland Levy have been out touring, promoting the music from his debut CD No Regrets and establishing a loyal following where ever they go. They are already receiving attention with awards for Songwriting on internet radio.
Scott grew up with five siblings in a loving home. “For as long as I can remember, my parents & friends would regularly get together to play guitars and sing their favourite songs at kitchen parties at home. From there I was hooked.” A nearly eight-year stint followed, starting in high school, playing in a couple rock and pop cover bands. Performing regularly paid for college. Then Scott left home to pursue a professional career in Toronto. In 2010 he returned to music full time after raising a family and achieving a success elsewhere.
The Heartland Levy’s influences include; Tom Petty, Blue Rodeo, John Mellencamp, The Eagles and the likes of Bruce Springsteen. The genre of heartland rock, from which the band’s name is derived, is a part of rock music that is characterized by a straightforward musical style, songs from the heart and of the heart coupled with a conviction that the music makes a connection beyond just entertainment.
No Regrets is available through iTunes. The first single “Two Hearts” has been playing on stations from coast to coast in Canada. Special thanks for their support go out to all the local radio stations who play many tracks from the debut CD in their regular programming.
