The Florida native hit the studio as a teenager to record his debut album, Rappa Ternt Sanga. Released in 2005, the album featured the Platinum single, "I'm Sprung", and the multi-Platinum single, "I'm 'n Luv (Wit) a Stripper)". T-Pain was suddenly a Hip-Hop king and scurried back to the studio to record the follow-up, Epiphany. His sophomore set featured the single "Bartender" and "Buy U a Drank". T-Pain became popular for his usage of auto-tune and for his collaborations. In 2007, T-Pain was featured on several hit singles including Chris Brown's "Kiss Kiss", Plies' "Shawty", and the Grammy-Award winning single "Good Life" by Kanye West.
T-Pain hit the road in 2008 with Lil' Wayne on the highest selling Hip-Hop tour in music history, and released his third album, Thr33 Ringz. The album featured the singles "Can't Believe It" and "Chopped 'n' Skrewed" and earned T-Pain his third Gold plaque. In his short career, he has been nominated for eleven Grammy Awards, has charted over fifty singles on various charts, and has become one of the most in-demand featured performers in music.
