The Nuge has released almost 35 studio albums and has gone on to sell over thirty million records during his career. He was part of supergroup Damn Yankees in the eighties and he is a solo star in his own right. Ted Nugent tour dates are currently scheduled nationally throughout 2011. Don't miss a date on this Rock & Roll legend when he visits an arena near you.
The Motor City Madman was born and raised in Detroit and formed the Amboy Dukes in the sixties. The band was a mainstay on the psychedelic rock scene until the mid-seventies when Nugent went solo. The Nuge signed with Epic Records and released several multi-Platinum records including his self-titled debut and the live set, Double Live. Nugent joined Jack Blades, Tommy Shaw, and Michael Cartelone to form the Damn Yankees in 1989. Their self-titled debut album sold over five million copies and Nugent solidified his place as an icon of rock.
Nugent has continued to record throughout '90s and into the new millennium. He released his most recent album, Love Grenade, in 2007 and has been an active participant in the political world. Nugent has been invited to provide soundbites for Larry King Live, Howard Stern, and Politically Incorrect. Also a noted author, he has released five books and has contributed articles to The Wall Street Journal.
