      The Blind Boys of Alabama released their debut album, I Can See Everybody's Mother But Mine, in 1948 and have been a consistent force on the Gospel scene ever since. After fifty years in the industry, The Blind Boys of Alabama received national attention in the 2000s. They won four Grammy Awards for Best Traditional Soul Gospel Album between 2002 and 2005 and received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009.

      Their mainstream attention continued throughout the decade and their music was featured in TV shows such as The Wire and Lost. In 2010, The Blind Boys of Alabama were invited to performed for President Obama alongside Bob Dylan, Natalie Cole, and Smokey Robinson. Most recently, the band released Take The HIgh Road in April, 2011 and embarked on a national Australian tour. Currently on tour in the US, The Blind Boys of Alabama concert schedule has performances scheduled throughout the year.
