Pioneers of American Electronica, The Crystal Method, emerged in 1997 with their Platinum debut, Vegas. The electronic duo comprised of Ken Jordan and Scott Heisler Kirkland formed in Las Vegas and were inspired by the city's club scene and the emergence of electronica. They moved to Los Angeles and were soon signed by Outpost Recordings in 1996. Their unique blend of Euro-electronica and American rock proved to be successful in the US. Their debut album, Vegas, released four bass-heavy singles and remains their best selling album to-date. The Crystal Method tour dates were booked on both sides of the Atlantic in clubs and small venues. Their sophomore set, Tweekend featured the hit "Name of the Game" and boasted cameos from Scott Weiland and Tom Morello.
They released Legion of Boom in 2004 and were nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Electronic/Dance Album. In 2005, the duo started their own record label and released their most recent album, Divided by Night in 2009. The Crystal Method embarked on the Divided by Night Tour in 2009 and have been on the road ever since. The Crystal Method concert schedule (2011) includes tour dates throughout the rest of the year.
