      Bio

The Pack is an American hip hop group from Berkeley, California. The name of the group is short for The Wolfpack.

      Early Days

The group consists of Damonte "Uno" Johnson , Brandon "Lil B" McCartney, Lloyd "Young L" Omadhebo, Keith "Stunnaman" Jenkins. The latter attended Berkeley High School where they met and formed the group. Lil' B attended Albany High School. They recorded together for over a year at Young L's(who attended Albany High School) home studio where they released their first two mixtapes Wolfpack Musik Vol.1 & 2. When Too $hort signed The Pack to Jive Records, The Packs age group were between 16 and 18.

      Rise to Fame

Not long after, The Pack created 2006's sneaker anthem, "Vans" and released it via their MySpace page. The song was heard by veteran Oakland rapper Too $hort who then signed them to his Up All Nite Records imprint via Jive Records. The Pack's hit song "Vans" was number 23 on the top 30 hip hop charts[citation needed], played on 65 hip hop stations nationwide and on 35 pop stations nationwide[citation needed]. It was also listed at No.5 on Rolling Stone's "Best songs of 2006".[1] The song featured a chorus of "Got my Vans on, but they look like sneakers; (You) wearing coke whites but my Vans look cleaner." The music video for "Vans" aired on BET, but MTV, and MTV jams, refused to show the video because it promoted a consumer product. However, MTV aired an edited version of the video, in which the word "Vans" was censored throughout the song. [2] The Pack is usually known for their skateboard raps and sexual mature content in a lot of songs. Only 2 members of the pack can skateboard,Young L, and Stunnaman.

      Albums

The Pack released an eight track EP in 2007 entitled Skateboards 2 Scrapers which included hits such as "Vans" and "I'm Shinin". In 2007, The Pack put out their debut album Based Boys which included the single "In My Car".

Recently, The Pack has stated on their MySpace that their next album is scheduled for an early 2009 release. They have posted one song from the album, "Hoes In This House" on their MySpace. However, an album was not released, and no further information on the album was given out as of June 2009. The Album is probably going to be released sometime late 2009.

The Pack recently posted the song "Kimbo Slice" on their myspace music page which borrows a verse from Dorrough's Ice Cream Paint Job as the chorus. This is presumed to be a promo single for their next album.

Northern California radio stations have begun playing "iPhone" by the Pack which is presumed to be the official first single from their next album. The song states "touch me like an iPhone."
