Throwdown Jones is one of the fastest-growing Rock N' Roll Party/Cover/Original Bands in Western North Carolina. Hailing from Morganton, NC, the band continues to thrive today, performing at large outdoor festivals, bike rallies and continuously packing out clubs all across Western North Carolina. This is no garage band here, kids. These are seasoned, talented musicians who create music the way it was meant to be: Live, loud, vital and with no apologies.
Many have tried to emulate their formula, but TDJ's prolific self-promotion, out-of-the-ordinary song choices and polished, vocally-charged, interactive stage shows are not to be missed. And as the new year brings promises of better and brighter opportunities, the Jones Boys make no allusions to the reason for the band's sudden success. It's all about the fans. It always has been. So you are cordially invited to come witness the original monster in action, kids. There is no substitue.
With a heavy emphasis on vocal harmonies, thick acoustic/funk grooves and thumping electric numbers, Throwdown Jones prides themselves on twisting the average, boring, everyday cover songs into new, crowd-jumping show stoppers sure to keep the party kicking all the way to Last Call and beyond. "We keep it fun, man. Plain and simple." Covering virtually every genre of music from Elvis Presley & the Beatles to Kid Rock, KISS, AC/DC, Sublime & Run DMC, Throwdown Jones runs an impressive gamut of musical versatility. So much so, that in 2007, the band had the honor of meeting and performing for ex-President Bill Clinton during a campaign stop in Morganton, where they entertained the crowds with Eagles classics and even a Def Leppard cover to lighten the heavy political tone of the rally.
