UV - The U2 Tribute Show hailing from South Florida continues to be one of the most exciting and authentic bands on the tribute scene!
Formed in 2005, the band has played to 150,000+ people and delighted U2 fans world wide traveling throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, and South America!
MIchael Schmidt as "Bono"
Take one look. What more can you say? Then, take a listen and you’re left speechless at the tones, range, and sheer stage presence that is second only to the man himself. Michael Schmidt provides even the die-hard U2 fans with honest, authentic performances from the early days of “Boy” all the way through U2’s latest album “No Line On The Horizon”. You can cut the intimacy in the audience with a knife when he takes the stage with UV.
Come see, listen, and judge for yourself!
Eddie Steklasa as "The Edge"
Eddie Steklasa originally formed UV - The U2 Tribute Show as nothing more than a huge U2 / Edge fan wanting to do the music justice. From The Edge’s chiming notes and complex tones, Eddie has managed to deliver live what most guitarists call the impossible.
The Edge is known for developing his own sound entirely and reinventing the guitar soundscape. Eddie brings that unmistakable U2 sound to every live UV show coupled with the look and performance!
Joe Clements as "Adam Clayton"
Joe is quite possibly one of the most accomplished bassists in the southeast, bar none. One of the original founding members of UV, he’s known as Mr. “Cool, Calm, and Collected” just as Adam Clayton is for U2.
Not many players can bring the colors of Adam Clayton’s sound and stage presence that is necessary to to be considered the best in the business. He’s a vital part of the driving rhythm section that makes the live U2 sound possible!
Jeff Clemens as "Larry Mullen, Jr."
Jeff Clemens learned to drum to the beat of “Sunday Bloody Sunday.” He even bought an extra drum in college to emulate Larry Mullen Jr.’s unique setup and style.
Since then, Clemens has toured all over the eastern United States, opening for bands as varied as Live, Cracker, Dave Matthews Band, Counting Crows, Foreigner, Everclear and Sugar Ray. He’s played in front of tens of thousands at shows like XFest, Atlanta's Music Midtown, Birmingham's City Stages and West Palm's SunFest.
Away from music, he has worked as a newspaper reporter, entertainment critic, and served as the Mayor of City of Lake Worth, Florida from 2007-09. After finishing one term in Florida House of Representatives, he was elected to the Florida Senate in the fall 2012.
