I am Jake Hamilton and I have been married to my beautiful (did I mention how beautiful she is?) wife Nicci for 6 going on 7 years in August and I have 3 amazing (did I mention how ridiculously amazing they are?) kids Geneva Justice (5), Ezra Ambrose (3), and Judah Blue (1)...

I have been running with Bethel (Jesus Culture), The International House of Prayer, Justice House of Prayer, TheCALL, and so many others for about 2 years and have built many of the best relationships I have had in my life. Its the difference between friendship and family, committed and covenant. I wish I had enough space to tell you of all the amazing people we have had the privilege to meet and run with over what is such a short amount of time...
      ..
If any of you happen to stumble on to this page, I love you and am so grateful for your hearts and your passion as well as putting up with a guy who just jumped into the river and still has no idea what he is doing....
      ..
I believe God is raising up a generation who understands the priority of the hour is not bigger programs and more religion but a passionate pursuit of the knowledge of God. They have counted the cost of relationship with Jesus and have laid it all on the line, ready to give it all up for one glimpse of the glory of God on earth. In fact they sing what Moses spoke on Siani, Show me your glory! I see it as if it were already here, thousands of passionate young ones crying out in a loud voice, off key, but unmoved, with a prophetic song burning in them and sense of purpose and destiny that causes them to run recklessly against the flow of culture to build the Kingdom of God on earth. It looks nothing like business as usual and shows up at coffee houses and sushi bars longing for Jesus anywhere and everywhere and they want authenticity. And they have a sound the sound of thunder and the roar of a lion. The sound of rain and the call of a Nightingale on their lips and coming from a reservoir deep within them they didnt even know was there.....

I received a prophetic word a few years ago and I believe that now is the season of its fulfillment. The word was simple, I see you as a pied piper for a generation leading them into their destinies. I am commited to living a life worthy of the calling and release a sound that cannot be stopped by religion or hidden by those who wish to conform. I can hear them in cars and cafes even now. They are looking for someone to model for them the life of Jesus, holiness, power, authority, meekness, telling them it can be done they dont need movies or hours of TV or internet or video games, not only telling them there is something better but actually modeling it because they are so captured by the love of Jesus. Going further then whats expect and further then what is required in pursuit of a greater love.....

I listen to a lot of music alot. I believe that every generation is defined by one thing; sound. Movies do not have the same power as a sound. From Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Eric Clapton, U2, Nirvana, Run DMC, the Beastie Boys, and yes even Brittney Spears and Jay Z, define eras of music and even the generation they came out of. And a sound can be carried by a generation easier than a movie. You can quote a movie but you can sing your favorite lyrics. Words move the mind but music moves the heart and that is why songs are carried from generation to generation. With all that said I am in love with many of the bands formerly noted (plus a few I dont feel I should say. LOL. I think parents are already calling Jesus Culture as you read this, Did he say he listens to Jimi Hendrix?)....

I do have a few worship leaders I love too. Of course I love Delirious (I hope one day to meet Martin Smith and talk songwriting), David Crowder, Charlie Hall (who I believe is a prophet), Matt Redman (one of the most humble and profound leaders of the modern worship movement), Misty Edwards, Luke Wood, Tim Hughes, but I also love Nicole Nordeman (love love love her CD with Oh Great God on it amazing), Nina Landis (probably one of the most unique sounds in worship and declaration), and I am inspired by worship leaders in our prayer house you havent heard of yet; Meg VanDran, Sarah Waldoski, Justin Waldowski, Marcie Whithead, Dustin Lua, Jason Bowen and many more all carrying a unique sound and radical devotion to Jesus.

      ....

FOOD: Mexican, for sure. I think I could have chips and salsa for every meal. My favorite place is a dirty hole in the wall in Upland, CA called the Taco King.....

DRINKS: I am in love with a small coffee house in San Francisco (probably my favorite city in California outside of my own) called Phillz. If you are ever in the area look it up and order anything, it will be amazing, ask Kristene Mueller and anyone else from the JHOP, they will all agree. But if I am at home in Rancho Cucamonga the Coffee Klatch is the business, for real! Starbucks is really the McDonalds of the coffee world, you dont really want it but its everywhere.
      ....
MOVIES: In no order, Matrix (all of them), Star Wars (all of them, YES, ALL), August Rush, Juno, Gladiator (I think I have watched that movie like 50 times), V for Vendetta (possibly my favorite movie of all time, sorry), Iron Man, the new Batman movies with Christian Bale (that dude rules), Raiders of the Lost Ark, and of course Braveheart.....

BOOKS: Why Revival Tarries by Leonard Ravenhill, Pursuit of the Holy by Corey Russell, Desiring God by John Piper, Red Moon Rising by Peter Grieg, The Imitation of Christ by Thomas a Kempis, The Rewards of Fasting by Mike Bickle, anything by EM Bounds, and No Compromise (The life of Keith Green) by Melody Green....

HOBBIES: I love surfing!!!! I wish I could do it more. My absolute favorite surf spot in so cal is Tresles, uppers because lowers is all localized. I also love painting and designing without any reason, just for the joy. Painting because you have too is no fun. I really enjoy the art of John Pitre for his fantasy and the way he looks at faith but I also love old Alphonse Mucha and the whole Art Nouveau movement and almost all good street art and not just sloppy tagging. I think eating is actually a hobby because I enjoy doing it so much.
