Following the untimely passing of Sublime frontman Brad Nowell, surviving bassist Eric Wilson and drummer Bud Gaugh formed the Long Beach Dub Allstars with singer Opie Ortiz, singer/guitarists RAS-1, keyboardist Jack Maness, saxophonists Tim Wu, and DJ Marshall Goodman. After appearing on a series of compilations and tribute albums, the group issued its full-length debut Right Back on DreamWorks in the fall of 1999. That album was followed by 2001 release of Wonders of the World. Although they are no longer together the band members have all gone on to create great new muisc with new bands and solo projects.
