      Bio

Singer-Songwriter, critics darling, and music composer, Pete Yorn, scored his first big success in the movies. After graduating from Syracuse University, Yorn moved to LA and developed a following at a local cafe and eventually the attention of movie producer, Bradley Thomas. Yorn was asked to submit a demo which Thomas liked so much that Yorn was signed on to score the music for the hit Farelly Brother's film, "Me, Myself, and Irene", starring Jim Carey and Renee Zellweger. Although we loved the movie, we are glad that Yorn made the transition into a recording artist and performer. Pete Yorn tour dates are currently scheduled throughout Summer, 2011.

Yorn was musically inclined from an early age, he taught himself to play the drums at nine years old and soon learned to play the guitar. Throughout high school and college, Yorn continued to play in bands and focus on his musical craft. After graduating from Syracuse in 1996, Yorn immediately moved to LA to get started. Following the success of "Me, Myself, and Irene", Yorn inked a deal with Columbia Records and immediately hit the studio to record his debut album.

He released, "musicforthemorningafter", in 2001 and its lead single, "Life on a Chain". was an immediate success. The album proved to be an immense critical triumph with Rolling Stone Magazine naming Yorn one of 2001's Artists to Watch and awarding the album with four stars. His sophomore effort, "Day I Forgot," was released in 2003 and featured the radio hits "Come Back Home" and "Crystal Village". In support of these albums, Pete Yorn booked tour dates with the likes of Weezer, Foo Fighters, and Dave Matthews Band. Pete Yorn's concert schedule even included performances with the Dixie Chicks and Coldplay, who were at the peak of their success.

Yorn followed up with his third release, "Nightcrawler", in 2006 which completed a trilogy of sorts. Yorn commented that his intention was to create a "continuing analysis of those topics" that he debuted in "musicforthemorningafter", with "Nightcrawler" representing his personal evolution. Yorn subsequently released, "Back & Forth", in 2009 and a collaboration album with Scarlett Johansson entitled "Break Up", In support of the albums, Pete Yorn booked tour dates with Coldplay as the opening act on their global tour.
