      Bio

Peter, Bjorn, and John are Sweden's best export since Ikea and Abba. The Scandinavian trio formed in 1999 and have been intriguing us with their eclectic videos and quirky sound ever since. Peter, Bjorn, and John tour dates have been announced with an international concert schedule that extends throughout Summer, 2011.

The group formed in Stockholm at the turn of the century and have been rocking the indie electro-rock scene in their native Sweden and beyond for over a decade. Like Duran Duran before them, this trio has taken the music video to another level and are waiting to break out big. Their self-titled debut was released in 2002 and yielded no commercial singles, but made an impact in the underground circuit.

The guys hit critical acclaim with their third album, "Writer's Block," which reached the top of the Billboard Heatseekers survey in 2006. The album featured the track, "Young Folks," which was moderately successful on modern rock stations around the world. The single was rated #5 on Pitchfork Media's 100 Songs of 2006 and was accompanied by an equally acclaimed music video that was in heavy rotation on MTV2. The track even garnered the attention of Kanye West who sampled the song for his "Can't Tell Me Nothing," single. Rolling Stone rated the album #44 on their list of the Top 50 Albums of 2007. Peter, Paul, and John tour dates were scheduled internationally on the heels of the album's success.

The trio followed up with 2009's "Living Thing," album which hit the top 100 of the Billboard 200 albums chart. The leading single, "Nothing to Worry About," was featured on the MTV series "The HIlls," as well as the sitcom, "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," with the accompanying music video blending Japanese Rockabilly culture with Swedish indie rock. Their most recent release is "Gimme Some," their six effort, which hit stores internationally in March, 2011. Peter, Bjorn, and John concert dates are booked throughout the states to support the album. These darlings of Indie Electro Rock are bringing their Scandinavian style stateside.
